Henry Kelly Franelich

Henry was born August 15, (1904?)1903, and died August 18,1974, in Fairhope AL. He was buried in Bay Minette cemetery. He worked as a motorcycle policeman in 1940 in Mobile (newspaper article) and later moved to Bay Minette, AL.

His 1st wife was Evelyn Alice Haigler Franelich (born about 1906), they married March 20, 1923 and they had one child: Elouise M. (Franelich) Swanson who was born around 1927.


His 2nd wife was Mary E. Franelich (born February 21, 1920, Died January 9, 2003). They had two children together, Amelia and Connie. After Henry died, in 1979, Mary married Leonard O. Kennedy.

Amelia Franelich Torres Crooms, born in Mobile, AL. October 31, 1949 and Died August 18, 2016, buried in Bay Minette cemetery. She married Bernard Mack Torres November 1967, Baldwin co., and later Edward Newton Crooms. She had a son, Bernard Mack Torres Jr. of Atlanta and a daughter Mary (Loyd) Connell of Bay Minette, Al.

Connie Franelich Weekley born January 5, 1953 and died December 29, 2018. She married April 1968 in Baldwin county Alabama and later married Roderick Henderson Phillips. Living in Sebastopol, Mississippi, she died there in an automobile accident that also claimed the life of her granddaughter Madison McDill. Burial was in Bay Minette cemetery, Alabama. Daughters are Leslie Y. Rackard of Bay Minette and Tara N. McDill of Sebastopol, MS., and a son, Brandon F. Weekley of Bay Minette, AL.
